Temple Terrace was built in the 1920’s and has had 80
years of fine tuning. The result is a great golf course with narrow fairways, traps strategically positioned, and greens the perfect size for the hole. Probably the
distinguishing characteristics of the course are the trees. The large, mature trees line most of the fairways and force the golfer to hit straight shots, or suffer the
consequences. However, the fairways aren’t so narrow that you can’t hit your driver. Many of the holes are risk/reward type holes where an aggressive drive can set
up a much easier second shot. The greens were completely redone in 1993 with Tiff-Dwarf and are among the best greens in the area. Each hole has four sets of tees, so any golfer can play from a tee that makes
sense. Play the back tees on a day when the wind is up and this golf course will challenge anybody, amateur or pro.
